Exclusive designs where the aquatic and terrestrial worlds merge

Hello everyone!

Today we add height and drama to your landscape. I present to you the portico of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina.

If you know the Roman Forum, you'll know that this temple stands out for being perched on a very high podium. I have recreated that feature to give you a piece that not only decorates the ground but also elevates the hardscape. With its intact (but eroded) Corinthian columns and famous frontal staircase, it is the perfect throne for your ecosystem.

Why is this "on podium" design strategic for your tank?

  • 🪜 The Grand Staircase: The front steps are not decorative; they are functional.
    • In Aquariums: They create a perfect "stand" for shrimp to graze or bottom-dwelling fish to rest at different heights, visible from the sofa.
    • In Terrariums: It is the ultimate access ramp. It allows animals to easily climb from the damp substrate to the dry area of the portico.
  • 🎭 The Stage: Being elevated on the podium, the space between the columns acts as a theater stage. Any fish swimming through there automatically becomes the protagonist of the scene.
  • 🌿 Negative Space: The columns are tall and slender. This means you see what's behind. It's not a solid wall blocking the view; it's a frame that lets light through and allows you to see the background plants through the architecture.
  • 👑 Current Zone: By elevating the structure, you place the columns in the area where there is usually more water current. Fish that enjoy the flow (like danios or neon tetras) will love to slalom between the pillars.

Technical Details:

  • 📂 Format: High-resolution STL.
  • 📏 Verticality: A piece designed to provide height without occupying an excessively wide base.
  • 🏛️ Fidelity: Includes the frieze with the griffins and candelabra (typical of this temple) weathered by time.
