Description
Scraper designed specifically for use with resin printers. No sharp internal edges, easy to wipe down and no areas for resin to get trapped.
- Print with a strong material to make sure the tip does not get damaged. This scraper can be printed using SLA too. (Use high infill!)
- After wiping down, put this scraper in the curing chamber along with your resin parts. This is because resin will get trapped between layer lines. This is inevitable with any 3d printed scraper unless you print with ABS/PVB and vapour smooth it. (this point only applies to FDM. curing an SLA part over and over will make it brittle and it will shatter quite easily)
I do not suggest coating the scraper in a clearcoat as it will chip away, causing contamination of your resin.
Instead of scraping against the bed, I suggest using it as a lever to pry the parts off the bed. It helps if you use this support base:
