Ultra-thin horizontal spool holder

A horizontal filament spool holder based on a "thrust roller bearing" structure, requiring no additional metal parts
The combined thickness of the spool holder and filament spool is approximately 7cm, only 5mm thicker than the spool itself It is suitable for scenarios where vertical space is limited, thus requiring horizontal placement of filament spools

It requires less than 30g of filament The main body of the spool holder bears almost no load, and all load-bearing structures are small, independent parts, making them easy to repair (although there is almost no possibility of breakage, and testing has shown it still functions normally even if 50% of the small parts are missing)

Installation Method

Push the small pins on the ring of the disc body towards the bottom surface (the side without a protrusion in the center), then insert the short roller tubes onto the small pins

(Theoretically, not all 24 short tubes need to be installed, but for better performance, it is recommended to install all of them)

Notes on Potential Usage Impact

Note one, Compatible Spool Types:
For filament spools with many radial spoke structures, this spool holder may not perform well due to spokes getting caught

Note two, Suitable Placement Surface Materials:
When this spool holder is placed on surfaces with friction such as rubber or wood, it rotates very smoothly with virtually no overall displacement

On smooth surfaces like glass, there might be slight sliding, so it is recommended to place a layer of material with some friction underneath (e.g., A4 paper)

A hole is also reserved in the center of the spool holder for fixed positioning

Note three, Not Suitable for Small Spools:

Small filament spools (typically designed with a diameter printable by A1 mini), when placed horizontally, have a high chance of the filament coming off the spool edge after loosening, leading to jams

Therefore, most horizontal spool holders, including this one, are not suitable for use with small filament spools
