Description

Larvacide Briquet Buoy

Fits Altosid XR Briquet, 150 day control

PETG-HF white/black, strength, 8 layer wall+top+bottom, support yes, infill like 25%

Steps: Fill the “top" with spray foam, Styrofoam, pool noodle
Glue lid to top with e6000, or plastic cement, hold in place with binder clips for cure
zip tie on top of cage

Function: Suspends the 150-day briquet at the water's surface rather than allowing it to sink.

Target Zone: Mosquito larvae and pupae congregate at the water's surface to breathe. Maintaining the briquet at the waterline maximizes the concentration of the active ingredient (methoprene) in the larval zone.

Deep Water Efficacy: In deep catch basins, a sunken briquet may result in chemical stratification, failing to reach the surface in effective quantities.

Sediment Avoidance: Prevents the briquet from sinking into bottom sludge or organic debris, which can cover the surface area of the briquet and inhibit the release of the larvicide.

Reference Theory from:

*Edit: Added Natular XRT as requested.
