Description
A simple, practical solution for accidental light switch bumps — this extra-thick Decora-style switch cover plate is designed to help prevent chairs, furniture backs, bags, or people from unintentionally toggling a light. Perfect for tight rooms, small walkways, home offices, or anywhere a switch sits too close to everyday movement.
I originally designed this after a tall-back chair repeatedly hit a wall switch and kept turning off the light. The standard plate offered no protection, but this reinforced model creates a raised perimeter that shields the switch from glancing contact while still leaving it easy to operate intentionally.
It isn’t fancy — and it doesn’t need to be. Just a strong, clean, functional cover that does its job.
This fits the standard US Decora rocker switch footprint, which is also widely used in Canada and may be compatible with some regions using North American electrical standards.
