Description

This is a nicely functional model to adapt a magnetic vertical featherboard (specifically the Magswitch Vertical Featherboard Pro), or other magnetic attachments to your Harvey Big Eye tablesaw fence.

This requires the T-bolts and knobs to secure into the top fence slot, but does the job from there to securely mount a metal bar that your magnetic fence can attach to, and be positioned properly for use. The model also ensures the metal bar stock rides slightly above the fence and doesn't contact/wear the anodized aluminum.

The T-bolts and knobs can be found here: https://a.co/d/3Fi1czU   The Powertec 71121 T Track Knob Kit has what you need and then some.. what is needed are (2)  5/16"-18 T bolts ~ 1.5" in length.

The brackets are slotted so you can adjust the metal bar left or right to work with the fence in both the low and high positions.

Inserted into the brackets are the metal bar adapters. These are set up for a 2"x1/4" steel flat bar. You can probably get away with as narrow as 1.5 inch and as thin at 1/8".. but I have not tested anything other than 2"x1/4", which is quite beefy and has great magnetic hold. I have included the f3d file so you can adjust the metal bar adapters to fit your bar stock. The adapters just pop into the brackets and should stay firmly in place with the knobs tightened. You can glue them in if preferred but I don't find it necessary.

Supports are needed for the adapter slots on the brackets.

I printed this with PETG HF and recommend it for the strength and flexibility. PLA would likely work fine as well, but I prefer the properties of PETG for something like this used on a table saw.

Hope this helps a few people like it has helped me regain use of my featherboard! Perhaps it will also give someone the head start on a vertical mount for regular feather boards.
