Description

🚀 Ultimate Parametric High Power Rocket Generator

Design. Print. Launch.

Stop being limited by commercially available parts. This OpenSCAD Generator allows you to engineer custom airframe components for High Power Rocketry (HPR) and Model Rocketry with aerospace-grade precision.

Whether you need a precise Von Karman nose cone for supersonic flights or a reinforced Fin Can for your L1/L2 Certification, this tool does it all using the MakerWorld "Customize" button.

✨ Key Features

  • Fully Parametric: Adjust diameter, length, wall thickness, and shoulder length to fit ANY body tube (Estes, Loc Precision, Apogee, etc.).
  • Advanced Nose Cones:
    • Von Karman / Haack: Minimum drag shape for high-speed/supersonic flights.
    • Ogive: Classic tangent profile.
    • Elliptical: Excellent stability for subsonic flights.
    • Payload Bay: Option to generate hollow cones with screw-on bulkheads (coming soon).
  • Custom Fin Cans:
    • Variable Fins: Generate 3, 4, or more fins.
    • Fin Geometry: Fully adjustable Sweep, Span, Chord, and Root Length.
    • Airfoil: Integrated beveling for better aerodynamics.
  • Motor Mounts: Generate centering rings and motor tubes for 18mm, 24mm, 29mm, 38mm, 54mm, and 75mm motors.

🛠️ How to Use (No Software Needed!)

  1. Click the green "Customize" button on this page.
  2. Select Component: Choose what you want to generate (e.g., "Nose Cone" or "Fin Can").
  3. Set Dimensions: Measure your body tube (e.g., 41.6mm for BT-60) and input the Inner/Outer diameters.
  4. Refine Aerodynamics: Adjust the nose cone shape or fin sweep.
  5. Generate & Download.

🖨️ Print Settings (Critical for Rocketry)

  • Material:
    • Nose Cones: PLA+ or PETG (Smooth finish, easy to sand).
    • Fin Cans / Motor Mounts: ABS, ASA, or Nylon-CF is MANDATORY for Mid/High Power motors due to exhaust heat and landing impact.
  • Walls: Minimum 3-4 perimeters (Loops). Strength is key.
  • Infill:
    • Nose Cone Tip: 100% Solid (helps with CG/Stability).
    • Fins: 50-100% Solid.
    • Body: 20-30% Gyroid.
  • Orientation: Print Nose Cones and Fin Cans upright.

⚠️ SAFETY & DISCLAIMER

  • Simulation: Always verify your rocket's stability (Center of Pressure vs. Center of Gravity) using software like OpenRocket or RockSim before flying. 3D printed parts can be heavier than balsa/cardboard, affecting the CG.
  • Regulations: Follow all NAR/Tripoli safety codes and local FAA regulations.
  • Liability: The creator is not responsible for flight failures, crashes, or damage. Use at your own risk.
