Design
This small ball joint is universally applicable and perfect for all kinds of mounts and DIY projects – e.g., for sensors, small cameras, LEDs, or other lightweight components
The total height of the joint is 31 mm, the square base plate has a side length of 26 mm, and the distance between the two mounting holes is 24 mm This keeps the joint compact, yet it can be screwed on stably
Assembly
The hole in the ball is dimensioned so that a 3 mm self-tapping screw holds securely and the joint can still be easily adjusted
When assembling, make sure to slide the cap nut over the ball first before finally tightening everything – this keeps the joint movable and allows for fine adjustment later
Print
I used PLA Basic – which works great and is completely sufficient in terms of stability for the intended purpose
Depending on the load or place of use, you can of course also experiment with other materials, but for most indoor applications, PLA is more than enough
