Description

A classic replacement button designed specifically for shirts. Created on December 12th for Button Day as part of my daily design challenge (Day 12).

This model replicates the standard 4-hole design found on most dress and casual shirts. It features chamfered holes and rounded edges to protect the thread and ensure smooth buttoning.

Key Features:

  • Standard Design: Fits most button-down shirts.
  • Thread Protection: Smooth edges prevent thread cutting.
  • Printable: Optimized for FDM printing without supports.

Print Settings:

  • Material: PETG or ABS is highly recommended to withstand washing machine temperatures and detergents. PLA may deform in hot water.
  • Layer Height: 0.08mm or 0.12mm (finer layers are essential for strength and smooth finish on such a small object).
  • Infill: 100% solid.
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm works, but 0.2mm is ideal for sharper details.

Size: The default size is set to standard shirt specifications (approx. 10-11mm). Please check your shirt's buttonhole size and scale X/Y in the slicer if necessary.

Happy printing! 👔
