ARC Raiders Storage Unit - Interactive Gift Box
As a huge fan of ARC Raiders, I wanted to create the perfect gift for a fellow Raider. Since I couldn't find anything online that captured the game's atmosphere, I designed this functional storage unit from scratch.
🛠️ Key Features
- Interactive Mechanism: The unit features a sliding door system inspired by the game, designed to be opened using the included pry-bar.
- Double Storage: Inside, you’ll find a weapon case on a workbench and a grenade container tucked underneath.
- Gift-Ready: Both containers can be opened, making them the perfect "loot" spots to hide cash, vouchers, or small gifts.
- Authentic Look: The model is designed for post-processing; painting and weathering will give it that battle-worn, wasteland aesthetic.
🔧 Assembly & Tips
- Door Stoppers: Glue the two small detail pieces onto the doors as shown in the photos. These serve as mechanical stops to prevent the doors from sliding out and add significantly to the visual accuracy.
- Grenade Hinge: The lid for the grenade container is designed to be attached using a small piece of 1.75mm filament as a hinge pin. Depending on your printer's tolerances, you may need to slightly enlarge the hole with a small drill bit.
