Description
Here's my slightly different take on the poop bin for H2 printers.
With my setup I needed the bin to be fairly narrow and behind the printer and therefore I designed it to take min space that would be required for cables on the back anyways, and on the side only the handle stands out 20mm.
The bin nicely fits printer's curve as I 3d scanned the whole corner.
Both the bin and deflector are held in place by 10x3mm magnets, but what I found is that due to printer vibrations the bin had a tendency to slide, therefore I've added the ‘lock’, which is just a piece you put underneath the printer in the corner (see picture), this prevents the bin from moving on it's own, but still allow for easy removal.
There are 2 versions of the deflector, the ‘angled’ one is designed to ‘slow down’ the poop as I found it to ‘jump out of the bin’ sometimes when it's empty. Please be advised that if printed from PLA the downside of this approach is that occasionally the hot plastic gets stick to it, if that proves to be an issue for you, try the ‘straight’ version.
