This is my take on the ultimate mount solution for ANY rack and ANY device size (bold claim, I know).

Showcase devices

  • 📏 Universal Fit — When I say any rack size, I mean it. This works for standard 10" or 19" racks, as well as all printable custom HomeRacker sizes.
  • 📦 Universal Compatibility — From tiny 15x30x11mm dongles up to a massive Synology NAS, this model handles it all. If it's a rectangular box (cuboid) and fits on your printer bed, you can mount it! (And if not 🤫 here's a nice community take on those brackets for roundish devices)

Universal Compatibility

This model is designed for those "outlier" devices that never seem to fit a regular rack, or for mounting standard devices into non-standard racks. The choice is yours.

  • ⚙️ Fully Customizable — The model is fully customizable using the Parametric Model Maker. It is smart enough to adapt the geometry automatically based on your dimensions.
  • 🖨️ Easy Printing (Even for 19") — Don't worry if you have a smaller printer. I included a "Split Front Panel" option. This divides the front panel into 3 parts for easy printing while maintaining total stability—thanks to HomeRacker's "UNpatented" lock-pin mechanism.

🛠️ Mounting Options

  • The Tray Version: Perfect for regular racks. It securely fits your device onto a solid tray.

Tray Version

  • HomeRacker Integration: If your device is heavy, you can mount it to a HomeRacker frame. It uses the same mount, just paired with the HomeRacker Rackmount Adapters.

HomeRacker Integration

  • The Bracket Variant: Exclusive to HomeRacker users! You can skip the tray and use brackets to mount your device directly to HomeRacker supports. Note: If your device needs frequent maintenance, I still recommend the Tray version.

Bracket Variant

  • Rear Mounting: There is also a bracket-only variant, which is super handy for fixing devices in the back of your rack, like small USB power supplies.

🏡 What is HomeRacker?

HomeRacker is a universal modular rack building system I created. It's based on an open specification. Find out more here:

With HomeRacker, you can build all sorts of things—like the Dry Filament Shelf or this 10" Cyberpunk-style rack which you can also find on Makerworld. Check it out!

What's missing? 🤷

To build a custom rackmount you'll need - besides the customizer results - additional connectors and supports, download the free HomeRacker - Core system. Please refer to the Customization Guide in the Documentation section.

You might also want to checkout the 10" or 19" rackmount kits to build a standard rack in your desired configuration.

🤝Community Driven

I created HomeRacker - Core as an open specification. This means anyone can create and share their own extensions and models based on it without any licensing restrictions—all I ask for is attribution!
