‘How To’ Guide

Step 1: Select how many letters you need, from 2 to 8 (the largest that will fit on an A1 mini). Click and move this part to the primary print bed. I would recommend choosing the colour of the base part of the nametag (whilst selecting the base part, either right click and follow the prompts, or press the number on your keypad associated with the filament desired).

Step 2: Click the nametag base and add text. Follow the video for a guide. I found doing one letter at a time gave better results and took less time for longer names!

Step 3: Choose colours for the nametag letters by selecting the objects from the advanced print menu, find the letter objects, and change filament (pressing the number listed next to your desired filament, or right click and follow the prompts).

Tips & Things to Watch Out For

If you choose a letter and size that sticks out over the edge, consider painting on a support as per the video. The support settings are already enabled, so once you paint the support you can move on/print

Be careful not to change colour of the internal parts unless you really want to have a lot of waste for effectively invisible colour changes!

Use PLA, dry before printing, clean build plate, etc. If using an effect sheet, increase filament temperature in the filament settings for initial and other layers from 55 to 60.
