This is my solution for protecting the Z-bar bearings of my Bambulab P2S printer.
Honestly, I never liked the solutions out there because they rely on an interlocking fit, and after some time, with the movement of the bars and grease, these interlocking protections tended to move.
So I designed them in a way that they never move, and to do this, I used simple 3x2 mm magnets.
12 3x2 magnets are needed to mount these protections, and there are no interlocks; you just need to pay attention to how they are positioned, as one piece is thicker than the other.
The thicker one goes on the side where there isn't the "small metal piece" that holds the bearing in place, while the thinner one goes over the small metal piece.
I allowed for good margins relative to the bar, so it will never come into contact with the protection.
I recommend using super glue to attach the magnets.
Have fun !
