Description
I redesigned my desk and realized that my Mac mini just didn’t visually fit anymore.
It worked perfectly — it just looked out of place.
Instead of hiding it or turning it into a “product,” I wanted it to feel like a normal desk object.
So I designed this tray to look like a simple raised document holder.
From a distance, it doesn’t read as tech.
It just sits there, quietly doing its job.
Airflow is fully preserved:
- bottom intake stays open
- rear exhaust and cables are unobstructed
I added a felt inlay on top to soften the look and avoid the typical 3D-printed feel. It’s a small detail, but it made a big difference for me.
This was modeled in Blender.
I’m still a beginner when it comes to modeling, but I care a lot about proportions and small details that make an object feel “right” in everyday use.
It’s not meant to be clever or flashy.
It just fits my desk now — and that was the whole point.
Highly appreciate a boost, a like, and a comment.
