Description
The SilverStone DS380 / D380B has an unfavorable air gap at the hard drive cage due to its design. As a result, part of the cooling air is not used effectively – the consequence is unnecessarily high HDD temperatures.
This 3D-printable ventilation guide is mounted directly to the existing 120mm standard fans and directs the airflow specifically through the hard drives. The open air gap is closed, and cooling is significantly improved.
Result:
Depending on the setup, temperature improvements of approx. 5 to 10 °C are possible for the hard drives – completely without fan replacement or other case modification.
