Description

🌹 Rose Box – Decorative Storage Box with Assembled Flower Lid

After my Edelweiss Box, it’s time for the next floral design: the Rose Box.
This version contains a significant amount of work, and it took several iterations and test prints until the rose and its leaves became both beautiful and reliably printable.

The basic construction principle is the same as the Edelweiss version. All parts are printed separately and can be freely combined by color – this means no AMS is required, even though the final model uses three colors.

🧩 Assembly Concept

This box was designed to be printed as individual parts and assembled afterward with minimal effort.

With a diameter of 120 mm and a usable height of 60 mm, this is a fairly large container, suitable both as a decorative box and as a functional storage solution.

The lid is assembled in the same way as the Edelweiss Box.
All elements are designed to fit together cleanly, and intuitively.

The leaves are delicate and fine, which makes them slightly fragile – but also gives them a very realistic appearance.
To simplify assembly, I designed a dedicated leaf holder:

  • Glue the leaves into the holder first
  • This allows the entire rose assembly to be fixed onto the box using a single drop of super glue
  • Start assembling the rose from bottom to top for best alignment

Lid assembly steps:

  • Slide the Outer Lid Ring over the platform
  • Lock everything in place by inserting the Inner Lid Ring from below

Old-school wisdom applies here: form-fit first, glue only where it truly makes sense.

āš ļø Important:
The Inner Lid Ring is slightly narrower at the bottom than at the top — make sure it is oriented correctly!
This is crucial so the finished lid fits properly onto the container.

Once completed, the lid should fit the box perfectly.

šŸŽØ Colors & Look

I printed my personal box in black, which creates a strong contrast with the red rose and green leaves.
That said, Bambu Matte filaments also work beautifully for the box itself and give it a very elegant, understated finish.

I added a second Rose with Fuzzy Skin, and one whitout, print your Choice

āš™ļø Printing Notes & Slicer Settings

I used several Bambu Studio slicer features, including:

  • Fuzzy Skin
  • Hilbert Curve Top Layer
  • negative Parts for the Leaves Holder
  • and additional fine-tuned settings

All recommended slicer settings are included in the provided .3mf profile.
For best results, I strongly suggest printing directly from this profile.

ā¤ļø Final Words

I hope this Rose Box is as useful and enjoyable for you as it was for me to design – whether as a decorative container, a gift box, or simply as a showcase print.

Every comment, like, download, or even a boost is highly appreciated and directly supports the ongoing development of my MakerWorld designs.

Thank you for being part of the journey – and happy printing! 🌹
