🔧 Gardena Fan Broom XXL – Replacement Coupling (PETG)

📌 Description

The original coupling of my Gardena Fan Broom XXL Action 03015-20 broke after regular use.
Instead of replacing the entire broom, I designed and printed a solid replacement coupling that restores full functionality.

This part replaces the broken connector between the broom head and the handle system.
Designed for strength, durability and easy printing.

Printed in PETG for better toughness and outdoor resistance.

🧠 Design Notes

  • Designed from scratch based on the original broken part
  • Geometry optimized for strength at the stress points
  • Tight fit, no wobble after installation
  • Printed as one single solid part

The original part failed at the connector area.
This redesigned version reinforces that section while keeping full compatibility.

🖨️ Print Settings (Recommended)

  • Material: PETG
  • Infill:
    • 40–60% Gyroid or Cubic is sufficient
    • 100% infill was used for the first test print but is likely overkill
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Perimeters: 4–5
  • Supports: No
  • Estimated material usage:
    • ~95–100 g at 100% infill
    • ~55–65 g at 50% infill

🔩 Assembly

Simply replace the broken coupling with this printed part.
Uses the original screw / fixation method from the Gardena broom.

No glue required.

⚠️ Disclaimer

This is a replacement / repair part, not an official Gardena component.
Use at your own discretion.

💡 Why this model?

  • Saves a perfectly usable tool from the trash
  • Stronger than the original weak point
  • Easy and fast to print
  • Ideal PETG outdoor repair
