M.2 NVMe Length Extender

This 3D-printed M.2 NVMe extender allows you to use shorter M.2 SSDs in longer M.2 slots by extending the mounting position to the correct length.

Supported Extensions

• 2230 → 2242 / 2260 / 2280 / 22110
• 2242 → 2260 / 2280 / 22110
• 2260 → 2280 / 22110

Perfect for systems where only longer M.2 mounting points are available but you want to reuse a shorter NVMe SSD.

Design Variants

Two design versions are included:

🔹 Bottom Version (Recommended)

• The extender sits under the SSD
• More secure and mechanically stable
• Compatible with SSDs that have top-mounted heatsinks
• Recommended for most builds

🔹 Top Version (Not Recommended)

• The extender sits on top of the SSD
• Can interfere with heatsinks or thermal pads
• Less secure compared to the bottom version
• Included mainly for special use cases

Mounting & Screws

All designs include two screw holes:

1. Motherboard mounting hole – required
2. SSD securing hole – optional

⚠️ The SSD screw hole is not strictly necessary and does not significantly improve retention compared to mounting without it. The primary fixation comes from the motherboard screw.
