I designed a stand here for a Christmas gift. An acrylic glass plate with a width of 200mm and a thickness of 5mm fits into the socket.
The stand itself has a guide for a 20cm long LED light strip and, optionally, depending on the height of the acrylic glass plate, a fixture for a piece of flat steel (40x100x6mm).
I myself used the flat steel more as a safety measure to give the base more weight. The plate I used has a height of 300mm. It would stand securely in the base even without additional weight.
