Description

A simple wall shelf with a melting / dripping aesthetic.

Designed to be easy to print while still looking organic and sculptural. The drip geometry is intentionally shaped to be support-free, so it prints cleanly on standard FDM printers without extra cleanup.

This shelf is best suited for light decor, small prints, figures, and collectibles. It’s meant to add visual interest to a wall without overpowering what you place on it.

Prints flat in the provided orientation. PLA works great, with PETG as an option if you want a bit more toughness. Multiple depths are included depending on your needs and will be adding more I'm sure.

This is a decorative shelf — keep loads reasonable and mount properly with anchors or studs.

PRINT NOTES

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm (default profiles work well)
  • Layer Height:
    • 0.2mm for a good balance of speed and surface quality
    • 0.16mm if you want extra smooth drip details
  • Infill: 8–15%
    • Higher infill adds rigidity without much visual benefit
  • Walls: 3+ recommended for strength and clean edges
  • Orientation: Print flat, as provided
  • Supports: None
    • The drip geometry is intentionally self-supporting
  • Brim: Optional if your printer struggles with long wall contact

PLA prints easily. PETG works fine if you want a little more toughness.

ASSEMBLY / MOUNTING

  • Mounts to the wall using standard screws and anchors
  • Recommended:
    • 2 wall anchors into drywall, or
    • Directly into studs if available
  • Keep loads reasonable — this is designed for decor, not dumbbells

If you wouldn’t trust it in IKEA particle board, don’t overload it here either.

If you print one, post a make — always cool to see these on real walls.
And if it earns a spot in your space, a boost helps more than you think.
