Description

These are mirror block off plates for the Yamaha YZF-R9.  If you remove your mirrors, these can cover the spaces left.

Files

Attached are two different designs.  The R9_Blockoff_Boss file has accommodations for a threaded insert with a 1/4-20 thread for mounting action cameras (or anything else, I suppose).  The NoBoss file has no such accommodations.

Printing

Orient the model so that the flat spot on the tab is touching the bed.  Only the left mirror block off is designed: if you want both, duplicate it and mirror it.

You might need to enable a brim-- I didn't, but you might.  You must enable support

Be sure to use a filament that's strong and can handle heat well.  I don't recommend using PLA if you're using it to mount a camera, especially since it'll be outside in the sun.  I used ASA-CF

Other Parts (aka Vitamins)

I designed the Boss version around this camera mount and these heat-set threaded inserts, but I imagine any threaded inserts should work well, provided they're on the shorter end of things.

Other parts are just 4x M6x25 countersunk screws and 4 matching nuts
