Precision Bridge Cooling Duct – Enhanced Overhang & Window Performance

This add-on airflow duct redirects the extruder side fan into a focused, high-velocity air stream aimed precisely at freshly extruded filament. By cooling the plastic immediately after deposition, it significantly reduces sagging on bridges, window tops, ceilings, and fine architectural details.

Designed for complex prints with tight tolerances, the duct improves:

  • Bridge flatness and span stability
  • Small window and arch definition
  • Turret and thin-wall detail retention
  • Print consistency on high-detail, hollow models

The internal geometry prioritizes smooth airflow and controlled entry velocity, delivering effective cooling without over-chilling the nozzle or melt zone. Ideal for ambitious architectural prints where stock cooling just isn’t quite enough.

Print cleaner bridges. Sharper details. Fewer compromises.

Due to recent concerns relating to the effectiveness of this model, here are some clarifications

  • The cooling is provided by a greater air flow
  • The air being pulled in is the same temperature as without the attachment
  • Yet being placed near the newly printed filament helps increase the air flow regardless of its direction
  • It works on a similar concept to blow on food except in reverse (your breath is ~98.6F, but blowing on the food significantly decreases cooling time)
