Description
This project is the ultimate upgrade for your filament storage. It combines a massive increase in battery life with a clever system for desiccant management.
The holder is designed for common square mini hygrometers (43.1 x 43.1 mm). Thanks to mounting with Powerstrips (or similar adhesive strips), it can be securely mounted anywhere inside your drybox.
Highlights of this design:
- AAA Battery Mod: Use a pre-made 2x AAA battery compartment instead of expensive and short-lived button cells. Never again empty batteries at the most inconvenient moment!
- Silicate-Safe Design: The enclosed casing completely protects the electronics and battery compartment. This allows you to fill your silica gel (desiccant) loosely directly into the box. This makes changing or regenerating the silicate a breeze – simply empty the box!
- Easy Assembly: The design consists of two main parts that are printed separately for maximum print quality and then simply glued together.
- Powerstrip Mount: Simply stick the holder to the wall or bottom of your drybox with Powerstrips. This keeps it securely in place, even when you move the box or change the silicate.
What you need:
- Hygrometer: 43.1 x 43.1 mm housing size.
- Battery Holder: Pre-assembled component for 2x AAA batteries.
- Adhesive: Superglue (for joining the printed parts).
- Powerstrips: For mounting in the box.
- Soldering Iron: To solder the battery compartment to the poles of the hygrometer circuit board.
