Description

I swapped the stock switch panel in my 3rd Gen Tacoma for an aftermarket one with more switches, but the new panel deleted the factory 12V cigarette lighter plug. I still needed that 12V source for occasional use, so I designed this housing to relocate the stock socket to my centre console MOLLE panel ( using these MOLLE inserts

 

Fusion 360 Archive (.f3d): The design is parametric. Key parameters are exposed so you can easily customize the socket diameter or bolt spacing to fit your specific setup. Let me know if they could be better first time publishing a f3d file.

Print Settings

  • Material: PETG (Recommended for heat resistance in vehicles).
  • Orientation: Print with the “front” where you insert the plug down for best results.
  • Supports: Standard Tree Supports recommended to support overhangs.
