Description

NEW PRO version lighter and a faster print

https://makerworld.com/models/2284120?appSharePlatform=copy

I spent hours searching for the perfect wallet to 3D print. After printing and testing several designs, I noticed they all shared the same flaws. Most rely on small plastic clips to hold cards in place. These clips wear out over time, causing cards to loosen and eventually fall out. They also only work properly when the wallet is filled to its exact capacity. Fewer cards means poor retention. On top of that, constant sliding scratches and damages the cards.

So I set out to solve three problems common in 3D printed wallets:

  1. No parts that wear out
  2. Securely holds cards even below max capacity
  3. No damage to cards

After multiple designs, prototypes, and redesigns, the Mag Wallet was born. It uses twelve 6x2mm magnets to securely hold a sliding card drawer in place. There are no clips to wear out under normal use, and it securely holds up to 4 cards (with a 6-card version coming soon). I also added a cash compartment that can hold a few folded bills.

Simple, durable, and designed to last.

I recommend using PLA/PETG but do not use PLA MATTE don't get me wrong i like PLA MATTE but I find it flows differently than regular PLA messing with tolerances 15% rectangular infill, and use 2 walls.

Parts needed 12 5X2 disk magnets 5x1 should work but i don't know if that's a thing you can also skip the magnets on the drawer but that will defeat the whole purpose of “never wear out”.

hope you like it and find it very useful
