Description
IKEA Frosta Bench Connector – The ultimate stool hack
Transform your IKEA Frosta stools into a stylish and stable bench! With this connector, you can precisely connect two or more stools together. Perfect for the hallway, dining table, or as modular seating.
Why this Connector?
The IKEA Frosta stool is a design classic, but individually sometimes not enough. My wife wants three of these stools as a shoe bench for our hallway. While searching for something printable for the IKEA classic on MakerWorld, I unfortunately couldn't find anything. So I sat down at the computer and created this connector. This connector uses the existing geometry of the legs and connects them. An update for an additional tier is still in planning, which I will then publish here.
Features
- Modular Design: Connect two stools to form a small bench or string together as many as you like.
- High Stability
- Minimalist Look
- Easy Assembly: No tools needed.
Print Recommendations (Print Settings)
To ensure the bench remains stable, I recommend the following settings:
- Material: PLA or PETG
- Infill: At least 15% (Gyroid recommended for uniform stability).
- Walls (Wall Loops): 2
- Layer Height: 0.1mm is ideal.
- Support: No
Assembly Instructions
- Position the two Frosta stools next to each other.
- Place the connector over the bottom of the legs.
The screws to securely fix the connector.
Feedback is very welcome!
