Description
Need your electrical box to sit flush after adding drywall, tile, beadboard, or a decorative ceiling? This parametric Round Electrical Box Extension lets you generate the exact height you need in seconds. No more stacking random spacers or “close enough” parts.
Designed for clean alignment and easy printing.
Just click “Customize” above, adjust the parameters, export, and print.
Customizer options:
- Height: 10–60 mm
- Bottom Tab Thickness: 5–15 mm (for heavier fixtures I recommend thicker tabs)
- Ring Wall Thickness: 3–8 mm (thicker wall is recommended for heavier loads)
Printing notes:
- Print flat on the bed as shown in the photo (no supports needed)
- 3-4 walls for strength
- 20% minimum infill
Safety notes:
- Most standard filaments (PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, etc.) are flammable so use this at your own risk. There are “self extinguishing” filaments available on the market.
- Consider wrapping/coating the inside in a non-flammable material such as aluminum foil or a flame retardant paint.
- Always verify fit, screw length/engagement, and applicable electrical code requirements for your location and installation.
