You forget what material is loaded, what finish it is, or whether it’s PLA, PETG, or something exotic you swore you’d remember.
This system solves that — cleanly, modularly, and permanently.
This is a magnetic, swappable filament identification system designed for real workshops, AMS users, and filament heavy setups.

• Universal Spool Fit
The clip base fits securely on small 250g spools up to full 1kg spools, including narrow edge designs.
• Magnetic Tag System
Both the base and the tag use embedded magnets, allowing tags to snap on and off instantly without tools.
• Anti-Unwind Filament Lock
The clip includes a dedicated filament retention hole, keeping loose filament from unspooling while stored.
• Detachable Stand Mode
When a spool is in use, pop the tag off and place it on the included flat base:

This design is derived from an original spool clip concept by another creator and has been substantially redesigned, expanded, and modularized into a complete system.
This model is a substantial remix inspired by the original filament spool clip design by the original creator.
The original model provided a basic clip concept. This remix expands that idea into a fully modular magnetic identification system with the following changes and additions:
- Complete redesign of the geometry to support embedded magnets
- Addition of a swappable magnetic tag system
- New universal clip profile supporting 250g to 1kg spools
- Resizing of a detachable stand base for off spool identification wherever needed
- Support for multiple interchangeable material tags
- Optimized print orientation and tolerance adjustments
