Boosts help me prototype and create useful and free models for the community. Please consider it. I appreciate all the love my models have been getting lately! Some folks have been asking about a commercial license—I need to hit 200 followers to unlock that feature on MakerWorld. Every follow helps and is greatly appreciated! 🤝

This is a replacement battery cap/door designed for the PetSafe Pawz Away Indoor/Outdoor Receiver Collar (specifically model 700-1336) RFA-537. If you’ve lost your original battery cover or the threads have stripped, this print will get your device back up and running(with some caveats).

⚠️ Hardware Requirements

Please note that this print is not a standalone replacement. To complete the assembly and ensure functionality, you will need:

  1. Metal Contact Piece: You must transfer the small metal battery contact plate from your original broken door to this printed one. Alternatively, you can fashion a replacement piece out of conductive metal if the original is lost.
  2. O-Ring (Optional but Recommended): To maintain water resistance, you must install an O-ring. You can reuse the one from the original cap or source a similar-sized rubber O-ring. Note: Without the O-ring, the collar will not be water-resistant.

🖨️ Print Settings

  • Nozzle: 0.2mm (Required for the fine details to print correctly).
  • Supports: None needed.
  • Material:
    • I prototyped this in PLA and it works fine for indoor use.
    • Recommendation: For better durability and impact resistance (especially if used outdoors), PETG, ASA, or ABS is suggested.
  • Infill: Provided profile is 45%. Not sure long term if it matters.

📝 Assembly Notes

  • Insert the metal contact piece into the slot on the inside of the printed cap.
  • Place the O-ring between the lid and the small thread locks.
  • Screw carefully into the receiver. Do not overtighten, as 3D printed thread locks can strip if forced.

Disclaimer: This is a community-created replacement part. Water resistance cannot be guaranteed and depends heavily on your printer calibration and the quality of the O-ring used.
