Description

When I need something, can I make it before I look to buy it?  That is my motto.  I wanted a way to use my vacuum bags and not damage them.  As well, I want them to last as long as possible.  Of course I looked and saw many discs on MakerWorld but I wanted to make something that I envisioned.  Yes, it is simply a disc with holes, but I wanted it to work the best it can.  I have vent holes on the top, bottom and sides.  I made the side holes all connect to the center and top/bottom holes so I connected them with fanned out tubes that are spiraled for strength.  All corners and edges are beveled so the disc will not damage the vacuum bag.  I acquired the measurements from approximately 10 vacuum pumps and came up with a diameter of 48mm to fit them all.  If someone needed a larger diameter they can simply increase the X and Y coordinates to achieve their desired diameter.  This disc has been working out great for me.  Hopefully this disc fits your needs as well.  It works perfectly with my disc riser I created.  It is a stand that you place under the disc while in the bag to bring it to the height of the center of the filament spool.  It makes it easier to vacuum and keeps the bag at its optimal position so it does not crease or crunch up.  Check out my collection for this model.  Please enjoy.
