Description

This was a quick dock I designed out of necessity for my iPod 5th gen (video) and iPod 7th gen (classic) which both use the deprecated Apple 30-Pin connector.

For those curious, the device pictured is the 5th gen Apple iPod with the Adwaitapod Simple Dark theme in Rockbox with a transparent front plate and a black rear casing (not shown). You do not need a modified device to use this dock.

The stock (or aftermarket) 30 pin cable fits in the underside of the main “cube”, and the channel on the bottom is plugged with a second piece. I recommend attaching it to your surface with 3M tape or similar so you can operate it with one hand. Otherwise, it's necessary to use a second hand to hold it in place when docking/removing the device.
