Deer Stag larger antler whimsical woodland animal
Print Profile(1)

Description
Continuing the collection of Whimsical woodland animals / woodland creatures.
This stylized deer stag is characterized by exaggerated, whimsical features and a sturdy, "toy-like" anatomy that makes it highly suitable for 3D printing.
1. Proportions and Pose
- Seated Posture: The deer is in a stable, seated position with its weight distributed across four points of contact (front hooves and back haunches/tail).
- Oversized Head: The head is disproportionately large compared to the body, common in "chibi" or stylized figurines.
- Thick Limbs: The front legs are short and sturdy, tapering into well-defined, cloven hooves.
2. Facial Features and Head
- Large Antlers: The stag features prominent, multi-tined antlers with thick bases and rounded tips. They curve slightly inward, creating a "crown" effect.
- Expressive Eyes: The eyes are very large, circular, and glassy with deep, dark pupils, set forward on the face for a friendly appearance.
- Prominent Muzzle: It has a wide, rounded snout with large, visible nostrils and a soft, slightly smiling mouth line.
- Ears: The ears are small and rounded, tucked just beneath the base of the antlers.
3. Surface Texture and Details
- Flowing Fur: The body is covered in smooth fur, paint the fur patterns that flow downward, especially around the "mane" area of the neck and the cheeks.
- Antler Texture: Painting the antlers transition from a dark, textured base to smooth, lighter-coloured tips.
- Hooves: The hooves are rendered as solid, smooth blocks paint in centre cleft.
4. Technical Printing Considerations
- Support Management: The largest challenge for printing will be the antler tines and the overhang of the snout. Tree-style supports are recommended.
- Stability: Because it is seated and has a low centre of gravity, it does not require a separate base for balance.
