Monkey D. Luffy - Replica Statua di Kumamoto

🏴☠️ The Future Pirate King arrives on your desk!

This is a faithful 3D Printed replica of the famous Monkey D. Luffy bronze statue located in front of the Kumamoto Prefectural Office, Japan. The original statue was erected to honor the creator of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, and celebrate the city's rebirth.

I sculpted this model, striving to capture all the iconic details: from the straw hat to the triumphant pose with a raised fist, and the captain's coat draped over his shoulders.

⚙️ Print Settings

Since the model has complex details (especially the cape and fingers), here are the settings I recommend to achieve the best results with your Bambu Lab 3D Printer or others:

• Supports: Absolutely necessary. I strongly recommend Tree Supports for easier removal, especially under the cape and hat.
• Layer Height: 0.12mm or 0.16mm to preserve facial and abdominal details.
• Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid or Grid works perfectly).
• Brim: Recommended if printing the model at a reduced scale, to ensure the feet remain firmly attached to the build plate.
• Material: PLA Matte is great for hiding layer lines, or PLA Silk Bronze/Copper if you want to replicate the effect of the original statue!

🎨 Post-Processing

The model is ready to be painted! If you want to recreate the anime look, you'll need the classic colors: red for the jacket, blue for the shorts, and yellow for the sash. If you prefer the "monument" look, a bronze-effect spray paint will make it epic.
