Hello everyone,
After the first version and further feedback from the community, I am presenting the BRAVO-Panel V2 (Broadband Resonance Absorption & Vibration Optimizer) to you today.
The goal remains the same: a fully 3D-printed, modular acoustic panel designed for maximum performance on FDM printers. With Version 2, we have evolved the system from a pure acoustic element into a fully developed, user-friendly product system.
While the primary acoustic functionality remains identical to V1, V2 offers significant improvements in handling and aesthetics:
- Integrated connection system: A new coupling system via alignment pins and slots ensures a seamless, stable overall appearance on the wall.
- Innovative mounting tool: A special tool simplifies the installation of multiple modules and provides the perfect alignment of the adhesive nails. A single adhesive nail can support the weight of up to 3 panels.
- Optional LED add-on: A bracket system for indirect LED lighting has been integrated for an atmospheric presentation.
- Optimized TPU feet: The "Vibration Optimizers" now feature a custom-fit cutout for adhesive nails, guaranteeing a flush fit on the wall.
The result is a hybrid module that combines an approximate sound absorption coefficient ($\alpha$-value) of 0.5 with a diffusion effect (scattering coefficient 0.722). For maximum performance, we recommend printing with WoodPLA with a wood content of 15–30%.
