P2S Magnetic Front Cover Quick Disconnect
Print Profile(2)

Description
THIS IS A MOD THAT REQUIRES SOLDERING AND CUTTING THE FAN WIRE. YOU DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
This mod adds magnetic pogo pins to the P2S fan cover, making it much easier to remove without having the cover dangling all the time.
You’ll need a 4-pin magnetic pogo pin (the version with “ears”).
I recommend the type that comes with pre-soldered cables, like these:

I bought mine on AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006531774076.html (First print profile 17.98mm)
(There is also a bit more expensive variant that you have to solder wires yourself on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Connector-Pogopin-Through-Connectors/dp/B0CSX5Z37W

These are a tiny bit smaller at 17.54mm (second print-profile))
First before doing the installation you have to make sure that your POGO pins fit into the 3D model, after you confirmed that you can continue :)
Notes:
For this mod, you’ll need to cut the front cover fan cable in half. You can get replacement front covers from the Bambu Store.
I added a detailed step-by-step guide in the assembly section.
Please read through the hole assembly guide first before attempting this mod! The most important part is the wiring and the preparation. Make sure to attach the tape and the gold marker before cutting anything!
Please watch out for the wires(they’re crossed) so I recommend adding some tape (and a marker) to make the installation easier.
Unfortunately, this mod requires a bit super glue to secure the holder inside the fan cover (the fan screws aren’t strong enough). The mod is easily removable from the hotend/print head side, though.
The hotend part is secured using the screw that tightens the filament gripper. We only add around ~0.2-0.3 mm to it, so the original function does not (based on my testing so far, including flow rate tests) seem to be affected, this part can be easily removed.
Really important: After installing the mod, rerun the calibration, this way the quality of the prints should not be affected.
Thanks to @MadMopar for the feedback!
Disclaimer:
Because this is a modification, you apply it at your own risk, I’m not responsible for any issues that may occur. Please make sure that the connection of the plug is very well, because a lot of power is going through those connectors and if you don't properly plug it in it might melt (this is always the case even without this mod)!
