Overview

Bring the modularity of Gridfinity to your French Cleat wall! This is a robust utility tray designed for the FrenchFinity system, featuring an integrated 4x4 Gridfinity Baseplate.

Instead of a loose open bin, this tray provides a standard grid base, allowing you to click in any standard Gridfinity bins, cup holders, or instrument mounts securely. It is designed to slide perfectly into standard FrenchFinity wall anchors.

Why this Tray?

  • 🧩 Gridfinity Compatible: Features a perfect 4x4 grid base. Use it to hold four large bins, sixteen small bins, or any mix of standard Gridfinity modules.
  • ✨ Perfect Fit Engineered: Just like my standard Frenchfinity trays, this features a custom tolerance offset on the connectors. It slides onto the wall anchors tightly so it isn't too loose. You may need to lightly sand the connector if you want it more loose.
  • 🛡️ Rounded & Strong: Features rounded internal and external corners for better print strength and aesthetics.

Usage Ideas

  • Hardware Sorting: Snap in standard Gridfinity bins for screws, nuts, and bolts.
  • Tool Holding: Use Gridfinity caliper holders, plier racks, or drill bit holders directly on your French Cleat wall.
  • Swap & Go: Easily grab a bin off your desk grid and move it to the wall (or vice versa) without dumping the contents.

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA, PLA+, or PETG (PETG is recommended if your shop/garage gets hot).
  • Infill: 15% (Grid or Gyroid recommended).
  • Walls: 3 walls recommended for connector strength.
  • Supports: None required. The geometry is optimized for printing flat on the build plate.
