Description

20 Gauge Overshot Card (0.030" x 0.623")

This is a precision-modeled 20 Gauge Overshot Card designed for reloaders looking for a consistent, printable alternative to traditional paper or cork cards. At 0.030" (0.76mm) thick, these cards provide the necessary rigidity to hold shot in place for a perfect roll or fold crimp without adding significant weight or pressure to your load.

Technical Specifications

  • Diameter: 0.623" (15.82mm) – Optimized for a snug fit in standard 20ga hulls.
  • Height/Thickness: 0.030" (0.76mm).
  • Compatibility: Works with lead, bismuth, and non-toxic shot loads.

Why Print Your Own?

Buying overshot cards in bulk is getting expensive and shipping can be slow. With this model, you can print as many cards as you need in minutes - and each card takes less than ¼ g of filament!

  • Custom Fit: Measured specifically to prevent "shot rattle" and ensure uniform crimps.
  • Cost-Effective: Instead of buying hundreds of cards at-cost, only print the amount that you need
  • Material Choice: I recommend printing in PETG for its slight flexibility and heat resistance, though PLA works well for standard target loads.
  • Easy Separation: Designed with a flat profile for easy removal from the build plate.

Print Settings (Recommended)

To ensure these are safe and functional, use the following settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.095mm (for dimensional accuracy, needs to be a factor of the total height).
  • Walls/Infill: 100% Infill (these are so thin they should be solid layers).
  • First Layer: 0.019mm. Ensure your bed is leveled to avoid "elephant's foot," which could make the diameter too wide for the hull.
  • Quantity: Can choose from the provided print profiles to print 9, 25, or 100 cards on a single plate. Alternatively, you can use the "Fill Bed" feature in Bambu Studio to print a full batch at once.

Disclaimer: Always follow established reloading data from reputable manuals (e.g., Lyman, Hodgdon, Alliant). Ensure your crimp is secure before use.
