This is a base for the Mijia Bluetooth Temperature and Humidity Monitor 2, adapted for AAA batteries, for a 5L filament dry box.
Because I have many 5-liter filament dry boxes at home, I have many hygrometers. The CR2032 button batteries drain quickly, and replacing them each time is both costly and troublesome. So I wondered if there could be a base that uses AAA batteries instead of button batteries. Also, because the placement of my 5L dry boxes is fixed, there are size limitations. After searching, everything was either too big or too thick, so I had to design a base that is most suitable for 5L filament boxes. Because it is the smallest and most suitable, I custom-made the connection tabs for the AAA batteries using 0.15x8MM nickel-plated steel strip (used for spot welding batteries). You can see the specific installation in my pictures. Using steel strips with my solution is the best. As for the CR2032 button battery dummy, I used one designed by someone else; you can search for it, or you can use other styles of CR2032 button battery dummies. This project requires a bit of DIY skill, a bit of soldering ability, and a bit of patience. PLA or PETG printing materials are fine. Because of the thin walls, when slicing, the wall generator must use Arachne, not Classic. This has been set in my print profile.
Well, friends with the same needs as me can give it a try. If you like it, please give me a boost, thanks!
