Description

Dremel Modular Multi-Functional System (Fully Modular Platform)

This is a fully modular, multi-functional Dremel tool system, designed to give you complete freedom to build and configure the setup exactly to your needs.
The system is easy to model, easy to modify, and easy to assemble, making it perfect for makers who want flexibility and customization.

Key Features

  • Fully modular design
  • Free configuration – assemble and use it the way you want
  • Easy to modify and expand
  • Strong press-fit and screw-based connections
  • Designed specifically around the Dremel tool shape

Assembly Overview

1. Base Platform & Legs

  • Assembly starts with the platform legs
  • The legs are attached using a press-fit system
  • No glue is required
  • Once installed, the platform becomes rigid and stable

2. Dremel Holder Installation

  • Next, install the Dremel-shaped holder
  • The holder is secured with 3D-printed screws
  • The Dremel tool can be inserted in the orientation you prefer
  • The platform itself only allows one correct mounting orientation, preventing incorrect assembly

3. Integrated Mini Vise System

  • The platform includes a specially built-in mini vise
  • The vise is:
    • Held together with small pins
    • The clamping screw is also secured with a retaining pin
  • This provides a compact and reliable clamping solution directly in the platform

4. Required Hardware

To complete the assembly, you will need:

  • M6 screws, approximately 25–30 mm long
  • Lower spacers (included as printable parts) to ensure:
    • All components are at the same height
    • Proper alignment and stability

5. Included Printable Nut

  • The project also includes a 3D-printable nut
  • This nut is designed to make:
  • Assembly easier
  • Tightening 3D-printed parts more comfortable
  • Especially useful when assembling without metal tools

Design Philosophy

This system is built around:

  • Modularity
  • Ease of use
  • Mechanical simplicity
  • User freedom

You can expand, redesign, or remix the parts to suit your workflow — whether for grinding, sanding, cutting, or custom jigs.

there is also where you need to use m8 tap if you dont have one there is no problem just use m8 screw and screw it there on clips and later on use m8 screw which one is in file
