Bookshelf Tic Tac Toe

This is a cozy little Tic Tac Toe inspired by books and bookshelves 📚

A playful design that also works beautifully as a small decorative piece. Yes, it is literally a Tic Tac Toe played by organizing books on a shelf. :)

🪵 Bookshelf Versions:

There are two bookshelf board versions, so you can choose the one that best fits your style and printing needs:

• Vertical Bookshelf

Stands upright like a real bookshelf

Designed for those who enjoy the feeling of “placing books on a shelf”

Takes a bit longer to print

Works great both as a game and as a decorative object

• Horizontal Bookshelf

Laid flat on the table, like a traditional Tic Tac Toe board

Easier and faster to print

Slightly easier to use during gameplay for some people

Both versions are: single color, no supports needed, ready to use right after printing.

📖 Book Pieces (Player Tokens)

The player tokens are also designed with print time in mind.

There are two types of book pieces:

A single book

A double book (two books together)

To keep printing fast and simple, the books are not multicolor / no AMS required.

They are printed in parts:

- Single book cover

- Double book cover

-  Small page block for the double book

- Two page blocks (one for the single book and one for the double book)

The page blocks print in white, and the covers can be printed in any color you like.  Since Tic Tac Toe requires 9 player tokens, you will need to adjust the quantity of the book models before printing.
 

After printing, just glue the page blocks inside the covers. It is very easy to assemble. Apply a small amount of glue inside the book cover to avoid mess, then gently slide the page block in.

🎲 How to Play:
 

Since there are single and double book pieces, you can choose how to assign them:

• Single books vs double books
• Or by color (each player uses one color)

In my case, I mixed both types, but each player uses a different color.
Feel free to choose what works best for you.
