Fortify your battlefield!
Whether you are defending the trenches of war or protecting your troops from laser fire in a distant galaxy – this modular sandbag wall is the perfect addition to any tabletop terrain.
This set includes two different variants to allow for maximum flexibility in building your defensive line:
- The Straight: Perfect for long sightlines and walls.
- The Curve: Ideal for artillery emplacements, corners, or barricading objectives.
Why this model?
- High level of detail: The texture of the individual bags and the reinforced wooden supports at the base ensure a realistic look after painting (drybrushing works wonders here!).
- Flat-Base Design: The underside has been designed to be absolutely flat, so that the emplacements lie seamlessly on your playmat or terrain.
- Scale: Optimized for the classic 28mm to 32mm scale, but can be freely adjusted using the “scale” function in the slicer.
Print Settings:
- Material: PLA (Grey is excellent as a base color).
- Layer Height: 0.10 mm for maximum detail or 0.2 mm for a fast print.
- Infill: 10-15% is completely sufficient.
I printed it with a 0.4 mm nozzle. I think 0.2 further increases the level of detail. Additionally, one could also consider SLA printing!
Painting Tip: Simply prime grey, apply a dark "wash" (e.g., Agrax Earthshade) over it, and then drybrush with a light beige or grey. This brings out the texture of the bags perfectly!
