Description

Low Hardware Air Engine - Two Cylinder Version

A compact, easy-to-print air engine that requires minimal hardware. This two-cylinder design offers improved performance over single-cylinder versions while maintaining simplicity and ease of assembly.

Features:

  • Two-cylinder design for enhanced performance
  • Minimal hardware requirements
  • Easy to print and assemble
  • Smooth operation with compressed air
  • Compact and efficient design

Printing Specifications:

  • Printer: Tested on Bambu Lab A1 mini
  • Layer Height: Recommended 0.16mm for crankshaft (or smaller if your printer supports it)
  • Supports: Required
  • Infill: Standard settings work well
  • Material: PLA or PETG recommended

Assembly:

Assembly is straightforward and only requires glue to attach the piston rod fasteners. All other components snap or press fit together without additional hardware.

Notes:

This design was independently developed based on the low hardware engine concept. The two-cylinder configuration provides better performance characteristics compared to single-cylinder versions.
