Description

Edit 20/03/2026 : That's it ! The jacket is now available ✨✨ https://makerworld.com/fr/models/2550092-mit-fabric-wearable-jacket#profileId-2808389

Edit 14/02/2026 : That's it, we did it! We reached 100 boosts! I now have enough to buy filament and work on our project. The project that has been chosen to be printed in my chainmail is... drum roll... A light jacket! I'm working on it so that you too can print it on your side without too much difficulty. Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss the publication of the jacket. I'll keep you informed of its progress. You can expect to see the finished jacket in less than two weeks. I want it to be perfect :)

If you like it, please give me a boost. At 100 boosts, I will create a fashion garment made from this chainmail. Tell me in the comments what item of clothing you would like me to create :)

I created this chainmail inspired by the work of a fashion designer whose complex mesh is referenced by MIT. This chainmail is futuristic and elegant. It took me many hours to achieve this result, and I hope you like it.

Printing information:

  • The model in the photo is “Small - smooth - Hard.” This means that it is very nice but a little complicated to print because it is thin. Clean your tray before printing.
  • If you print a tray named “Easy,” this means that the chainmail is thicker, therefore stronger and easier to print.
  • The entire plate will deserve big projects like clothes.
  • Use the link block to connect differents parts. Only print the link-blocks in the good position, then add a break at 8.80mm. During the break, put the others parts to connect, then resume printing.

Here is the Timelaps

If you like it, please give me a boost. At 100 boosts, I will create a fashion garment made from this chainmail.
