Description

Replacement handle for mosquito / insect screens, designed to be stronger and more durable than the original part.

The original handle on my screen broke after long sun exposure, so this version was redesigned with:

  • increased thickness in stress areas
  • reinforced ribs and triangular supports
  • smoother curvature for better grip

Included versions

  • With screw holes
Hole spacing matches the original handle I replaced – ideal as a drop-in replacement.
  • Solid version (no holes)
Universal version for other screen frames.
Users can drill their own holes to match different hole spacing.

Both versions are included in the download.

Printing recommendations

  • Material: PETG (recommended)
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Perimeters: 3
  • Infill: 15%% (any standard pattern)
  • Supports: Not required
  • Orientation: Flat on the bed (as uploaded)

The part uses ~6 g of filament, so printing time and material cost are minimal.

Dimensions

  • Overall width: 15 mm
  • Height: 22 mm
  • Hole spacing (center to center): 34 mm
  • Hole diameter: 5 mm
  • Length: 70mm

Users can also rescale the STL in Bambu Studio if minor adjustments are needed.

Notes

  • Designed for LED-lit environments only (normal for mosquito screens).
  • PETG is recommended for better UV and heat resistance.
  • Will come back with photos in use after final mounting, but tested it and works 100% for my dimensions
