GoPro Hero 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 Case - Wind Protection

This snug protective case can be conveniently printed in PLA. On the one hand, it protects your GoPro camera and on the other hand, it provides perfect wind protection. No more annoying wind noise. Completely without a Media Mod or unsightly foam. The big disadvantage of the Media Mod: It only records with one microphone at a time. Either rear or front. This has the disadvantage that if you speak to someone in front of the camera, your voice sounds dull and unintelligible. This case puts an end to that. You can simply use the internal microphones as usual, without the wind causing unbearable noise. The additional cold shoe mounts make it easier to attach lights or other accessories.

In addition to the print, you will also need three small pieces of fur to make the microphones windproof.

Pieces of fur:

1 = 10 x 10 mm for the top microphone

2 = 15 x 20 mm for the front microphone

3 = 20 x 20 mm for the side microphone

The pieces of fur are simply glued onto the protective case with some hot glue or super glue. Alternatively, you can also use double-sided tape. In any case, make sure that the microphone cutouts are not glued shut.

Attention!

Deburr the print carefully! Especially around the cutouts for the control buttons. When mounting the protective cover, do so with extreme caution. Otherwise, you will scratch your camera. You are responsible for any damage caused by careless mounting of the case. Pay particular attention to the rubberized buttons!
