Description
The Scale Lamp
I designed a parametric script to generate the "scale" texture for this lampshade and designed a custom base specifically for the Bambu Lab LED Lamp Kit. (LED Lamp Kit (1pcs) - MH001)
I am an architecture student - and I created this model to experiment with form and light. The pattern is fully modeled into the geometry, creating a detailed woven look when printed and illuminated.

Filament & Printer
I printed this on 2 plates using my A1 Mini on the Bambu Lab Cool Plate.
- Shade: Printed in Transparent PLA. (PETG works well too!)
- Base: Printed in Matte White PLA.
Print Settings
- Shade (Important!): Enable Spiral Vase mode. Set the line width to 0.8 mm (…using a 0.4 mm nozzle).
- Base: 3 Walls - else default settings.
Assembly
- Insert the LED Kit 001 puck onto the core.
- Route the cable through the shade and the dedicated side channel.
- Place the shade onto the core (upside down).
- Screw the bottom plate onto the core to lock the shade in place.
