Print Profile(1)

Description
🏁 Footrest Grind Pads + Holder – KTM SMR / Husqvarna FS (from MY 2025)
This set consists of **footrest grind pads (left & right)** including the **matching holders** for the **KTM SMR** and **Husqvarna FS** from model year **2025**.
The pads are intended as **wear and protective parts** and are perfect for **Supermoto use, training, and track days**
During sporty riding – especially in tight corners or with aggressive hanging-off – ground contact with the footrests often occurs. This set is designed precisely for that:
✅ **controlled contact**
✅ **protection against metal contact**
✅ **quick replacement** when the pads are worn out
✅ Suitable for the original footrests of the following models
- **KTM SMR** (from model year **2025**)
- **Husqvarna FS** (from model year **2025**)
📦 **Scope of delivery (STL-Upload):**
- Grind pad **left**
- Grind pad **right**
- **Holder left**
- **Holder right**
🔧 Advantages & Application Area
**Protection & Function**
The grind pads act as an **abrasion pad** and prevent you from directly grinding metal on the asphalt. This way:
- footrests and any adjacent components are protected
- the "grinding" can be controlled more cleanly
- you reduce the risk of hooking/catching when making contact
**Wear Part – quickly replaceable**
The pads are deliberately designed as a **replaceable wear part**.
When they are worn out: **print new ones, replace, keep riding**
**For sporty Supermoto setups**
Ideal for:
- Supermoto track / Kart track
- Cornering training
- Races / Training operation
- Riders who regularly make footrest contact
🖨️ Print Recommendation (important for durability!)
Since these parts are subjected to mechanical stress (impacts, abrasion, vibrations), material selection is crucial
⭐ Recommended Materials
**Top Recommendation (Maximum):**
- **Nylon / PA12**
- **PA-CF / PA-GF (fiber-reinforced)** → very robust and tough, ideal for Supermoto
**Good Alternative:**
- **ABS or ASA** → temperature stable, resilient
**Only conditionally suitable:**
- **PETG** → easy to print, holds up okay, but wears out faster
❌ **Not recommended:**
- **PLA / PLA Silk** → too brittle and heat-sensitive (can break)
⚙️ Slicer Settings (Guidelines)
For the parts to really last, it's better to **print strong** rather than "nice and fast":
- Layer height: **0.20 mm** (or 0.16 mm for more stability on edges)
- Walls: **5–7**
- Infill: **80–100%**
- Top/Bottom: **6–8 layers**
- Support: **only if necessary (but usually not)**
- Print orientation: **flat side on the print bed**
- Recommendation: **brim** for Nylon/ABS for better adhesion
💡 Tip: **More walls** often do more than "100% infill"!
🧩 Assembly / Processing
- The holders are designed to match the set and ensure a **stable attachment**
- Depending on the printer and material, it may be useful to:
- **slightly rework** bores / screw holes
- **deburr** edges
- Secure screws after mounting with **medium-strength threadlocker**
- Check briefly & retighten after the first ride/session
🔥 Notes on Usage
⚠️ This set is intended for **sporting use** and does not replace an official OEM safety part
- Check before every ride (cracks, material fatigue, play)
- Definitely replace in case of heavy wear or damage
- The harder the riding style and rougher the asphalt, the faster the wear
⭐ If you want maximum lifespan
✅ PA-CF / PA12
✅ 6–8 walls
✅ 0.20 mm layer
✅ clean print without underextrusion
✅ Print holders strong as well (not "economical")
