Description

Precise Drilling Template for Hinges & Shelf Pin Holes (32/37 System)

This modular drilling template is the ideal tool for furniture making. It has been specifically designed for the standard System 32 and allows for precise drilling of cabinet sides and hinges without the need for expensive professional equipment.

Technical Details:

  • Hole Spacing: 32 mm (standard system)
  • Edge Distance: 37 mm (standard distance for mounting plates)
  • Hinge Distance: 45 mm (suitable for most common European style hinges)
  • Special Feature: The template is infinitely expandable in both directions to drill long rows of holes at once.

Longevity through Metal Inserts:

To avoid wear on the plastic and ensure lasting precision, the template is designed for the use of metal drill bushings.

Print Settings:

I successfully tested the model in PLA. Since the metal bushings guide the drill, PLA is perfectly sufficient due to its rigidity.

  • Material: PLA (e.g., Bambu PLA Basic)
  • Infill: Min. 15% (for good stability)
  • Wall Loops: 3-4
  • Support: Not required

Instructions:

  1. Print the template.
  2. Press the metal bushings into the designated 10mm openings (use a drop of superglue if necessary).
  3. Place the template on the workpiece, secure it, and drill precise holes with a 5mm wood drill bit.

Good luck with your project! I would be very happy about a like or a photo of your make.
