Description
This is a hook latch – more precisely a cabinet/door hook (Engl. cabin hook).
It consists of:
• a hook eye on the left
• a pin holder on the right
• a curved metal rod that is hooked in
What is it used for?
For easily locking or holding open:
• doors
• gates
• windows
• flaps
• garden sheds / sheds
You hook the rod into the pin to secure the door – or use it to hold a door open.
